New Arrivals Evil 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Evil is the sister wine of Bitch, the fun Grenache from R. Winery. Chris Ringland and his team has done it again with great juice and fabulous packaging. 100% Cabernet that is inky dark purple, showing rich blackberry, warm cherry fruit with notes of tobacco, cocoa and a lovely texture. Exceptional Value! $10.99
De Martino 2007 “Legado” Chardonnay This lovely import is a dead ringer for a well-made California Chardonnay: Bright tropical fruit with toasty oak, vanilla, and a creamy, buttery texture, this finishes smooth and rich and is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. There’s just enough acidity here to keep the wine bright and fresh, while still offering the ripe, lush fruit and toasty oak that Chardonnay lovers are looking for! $14.99
Domaine Alary Daniel et Denis 2006 Cairanne Violets on the nose followed by black raspberry on the palate, this starts off very, very silky then firms up quite a bit, offering impressive structure and balance. Hints of licorice and loam carry through to the finish, where the tannins make their presence known. Very sophisticated wine for the money, and yet another solid vintage from this star Southern Rhone producer. $16.99
Salvalai Monile 2006 Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore Opens with a hint of cedar followed by bright, juicy cherry and berry fruit, hints of loamy mineral, and a touch of chocolate underneath. Excellent richness, texture and concentration without feeling over-extracted or alcoholic. “Ripasso” refers to the process of passing the wine over the leftover grape pomace from making Amarone, triggering a secondary fermentation and imparting additional depth and richness to the wine. $16.99
